Discover The History
Before Terry Brown created several viral hit songs and became known as the 60-year-old rapper, he overcame the unthinkable in the Vietnam War. Over 300,000 US soldiers were wounded in Vietnam, but even more soldiers experienced wounds that cut deeper than the skin. For 50+ years, Terry Brown, also known as Unc Imo, has been on a mission to find four of his friends that were shipped off into the night in four different directions after a life-changing incident in Asia. To take another step toward finding the four soldiers and healing from the longest war in US history, Unc Imo has written a cinematic, comedic, and heartfelt book that vividly details his experiences of growing up in New Orleans, living in California, surviving the war, and overcoming obstacles post-war.
